The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport (DIPT) through the RESDP is pleased to announce its continued commitment to supporting educational development by awarding twenty three (23) additional scholarships to students at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College for the 2024/2025 academic year. This takes the total number of students to benefit from the DIPT-RESDP Scholarship and Apprenticeship Programme (SAP) to forty (40).
The SAP, now in its third year, aims to empower the next generation of female professionals by providing access to quality education, particularly in fields related to renewable energy and sustainable development, and enhance their opportunities for employment in this sector.
With Saint Lucia’s growing focus on transitioning to renewable energy, the SAP is aligned with the nation’s goal of fostering local talent and expertise in this critical sector. The RESDP remains dedicated to empowering females, while supporting the country’s sustainable energy transition.
